Improving Inter-Departmental Connection

Speaker: Andrea Goulet

Organizations need teams to work together to achieve big goals. That can be tough when teams think drastically differently. In this workshop, we’ll explore ways to turn interdepartmental frustration into effective innovation. This workshop is most effective when teams from at least two different groups attend together at the same time.

By appreciating the value of different perspectives, participants will learn specific practices to:

  • Build rapport and trust with colleagues

  • Appreciate the value of different perspectives and skills

  • Reduce defensiveness, stereotyping, and backchanneling

  • Use conflict to drive innovation instead of disconnection
